Overview
This overland journey links your four key destinations in one logical route. Starting in Bishkek, we visit Osh and then cross briefly into the high Pamirs for a taste of the legendary Pamir Highway. From Dushanbe we fly to Uzbekistan for the classic trio of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, then continue to Khiva and finish in vibrant Almaty, Kazakhstan.

1
Arrival in Bishkek
Airport transfer, hotel check-in and time to rest. Short city walk and welcome dinner.

Bishkek City & Ala-Too Views
Explore central Bishkek: Ala-Too Square, Oak Park, Osh Bazaar. Afternoon free or optional excursion to a viewpoint in the nearby mountains.

Bishkek – Osh (flight)
Morning flight to Osh. City tour including Suleiman-Too sacred mountain, bazaar and Soviet-era monuments. Overnight in a local hotel.

Osh – Sary-Tash – Karakul (enter Tajikistan)
Begin the Pamir section, driving via Sary-Tash across the Kyzyl-Art Pass into Tajikistan. Overnight by Karakul Lake in a simple guesthouse.

Karakul – High Pamir – Murghab
Follow the Pamir Highway across stark high-altitude landscapes to Murghab. Short walks and photo stops. Overnight in a homestay.

Murghab – Koi-Tezek Pass – Khorog
Scenic day along the Gunt Valley as we descend towards Khorog, the relaxed capital of the Pamirs. Evening in town, overnight in a guesthouse.

Khorog – Panj River – Dushanbe
Drive along the Panj River with views across to Afghanistan (or take a regional flight when available). Arrive in Dushanbe in the evening. Overnight in a hotel.

Dushanbe – Tashkent (flight)
Short city tour of Dushanbe (Rudaki Avenue, local bazaar, main mosque) before transferring to the airport for the flight to Tashkent. Evening at leisure.

Tashkent – Samarkand (train)
Morning high-speed train to Samarkand. Afternoon visits to Registan Square and Gur-e Amir Mausoleum. Overnight in a boutique hotel.

Samarkand – Bukhara
Further visits in Samarkand (Shah-i-Zinda, Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar), then late afternoon train to Bukhara. Evening stroll around Lyabi-Hauz.

Bukhara – Living Museum
Full day covering the Ark Citadel, Poi-Kalyan complex, Chor-Minor and trading domes. Overnight in Bukhara.

Bukhara – Khiva
Desert road journey across the Kyzylkum to Khiva with stops en route. Evening arrival and first impressions of the walled city.

Khiva – Itchan Kala – Tashkent
Morning walking tour of Itchan Kala (Kunya Ark, Juma Mosque, Tash-Hauli Palace). Afternoon transfer to Urgench airport for flight to Tashkent. Overnight in Tashkent or connect to Almaty depending on schedules.

Tashkent – Almaty (flight) – City Walk
Flight to Almaty. Afternoon or evening city walk and dinner. Option to extend with Charyn Canyon day trip.

Almaty Free Time & Departure
Free time in Almaty until your airport transfer. Trip ends.
