Overview
This one-week route is ideal if you want Tajikistan’s mountains without the very high passes of the eastern Pamirs. Starting and ending in Dushanbe, we visit Iskanderkul Lake and the Seven Lakes (Haft Kul) region, with day hikes and overnights in welcoming village homes. On the way back we add Penjikent’s ruins and markets for a final Silk Road flavour.
Highlights
